Director of BARNES Le Marais during the week and a top-level show jumper on the weekends, Caroline Baudry splits her life between the demanding worlds of real estate and equestrian sport. This year, she will once again compete in the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping 2025 – a prestigious event for which BARNES is the official partner. From June 20 to 22, at the Champ-de-Mars facing the Eiffel Tower, she will ride alongside the world’s best riders aboard two mares: In Love, competing under the colors of the HOPE association, and Élysée, representing BARNES.
1. You lead BARNES Le Marais and compete in show jumping at a high level – how do you reconcile these two such demanding worlds?
I began riding at the age of six in Saumur, the cradle of French equestrian tradition. Today, my two mares, In Love and Élysée, are stabled in Chantilly. I see them on weekends to ride or bring them to competitions like the Longines. This routine allows me to maintain a balance between my passion and my professional responsibilities. The sport recentres me, structures me, and fuels the energy I bring every day to my clients at BARNES.
2. What link do you see between the equestrian world and your role in the luxury real estate market?
Discipline, perseverance, and the ability to reassess oneself continuously. These two environments are intense, full of highs and lows, where only the pursuit of excellence leads to progress. Whether on horseback or with my clients, I always give my best. In both arenas, one must listen, analyze a situation in an instant, and make sound decisions, often under pressure.
3. What role does BARNES play in your equestrian journey today?
BARNES actively supports me in competitions. This creates valuable bridges with some clients who are also passionate about equestrianism. We regularly organize events at the intersection of these two worlds. Wearing BARNES colors in competition is a great honor for me. It represents the Maison beyond real estate, embodying a lifestyle I fully share with our clients.
